Today was really the first time we have really relaxed (Somewhat), as we only did something in the morning. We got up and went to the Bird Habitat (dont remember the exact name), where you pay an entry fee, and get breakfast and entrance into a wildlife habitat. Breakfast was great, with some really good hot and cold food, and fruit. Then once we had our fill of breakfast, the birds started to come over to our table. The eating area was part of an open air atrium where the birds just fly freely as they please. Birds landed on our table, ate out of our hands (they really seemed to like empty packets of strawberry jam), and sat on our heads. Luckily, no one seemed to get pooped on (Mum got that pleasure later, courtesy of some bats).

So we headed out and took a lot of pictures of the wildlife, patted some koalas, wallabies, and kangaroos. We saw a large snake handling exhibit that my dad took part in, and patted a small crocodile too.

That took us from about 9:30am until 1:30pm to get through, and after that we simply headed home for some relaxation. Melody wasnt feeling too well, so she went to sleep for a couple of hours while i downloaded the 442 images from my camera onto my laptop.

Tonight we got moving after a while of procrastination, and picked up some pizza to bring back to the apartment for dinner. Some more aussie TV followed and then everyone went off to bed.

Tomorrow we fly from Cairns to Brisbane, then drive to Toowoomba. That ends our in-australia flights, so that will be a load off. I’m looking forward to relaxing, but also getting a little running in before the reunion game in 9 days.
