I didn’t think so, but we’re not alone
When Melody and I decided to “go public” with the Spawn-Watch blog, our reasoning was varied. Recording for historical purposes and laughs for when we’re senile and want to know what those crazy young’uns were thinking. Giving us an outlet to think through the situation a little more ‘out-loud’ even if it was on a page instead of spoken. But also because we figured that we’re probably not the only people going through something like this.
Well, in the past week, as more people have heard about and read the blog, we’ve found that there are many people that have problems with the spawn, not the least of which is calling them something other than spawn….it just has a nicer ring to it than ‘kids’ or ‘babies’ doesn’t it? maybe not…well we like it.
It has been very gratifying to hear and read that people seem to enjoy the blog, and that our humor is something that is now externally objectively classified as funny. You know how you’re never sure whether the things you say or write are funny when someone else reads it…well as it turns out Melody and I are hilarious. Ok maybe not hilarious, but at least we’ve put a humorous spin on the spawn-watch subject.
But i digress…
It has been very gratifying to get votes of confidence, messages of support and friendship from everyone we’ve shared this blog with. It is great knowing that other people are out there who are sharing, even by reading, this difficult situation with us, and are supportive of us. I didn’t expect people not to be, but it’s nice when it happens anyway.
So….thanks for the support and friendship so early in this process. We really do appreciate it more than you probably know. As a thank you, we’ll try to keep things funny, and i’ll continue to come up with witty euphemisms for the procedures, pills, shots, cups, samples, essences, mojos, and whatever else we’re required to supply or receive.
