Today was the day of estrogen. The house was filled with women who descended upon our house for Melody’s cousin’s baby shower that we were hosting. Before it got too overwhelming, I headed out to play a little golf. Well actually a lot of golf. Two kinds of golf. First up was 18 holes of disc golf with Garrison at Middle Creek Park.

I shot an 84, which is pretty good for me. Every hole is a par 3 though, so that means i was 30 over par. Not so good. After that, i headed over to Knight’s Play and walked 9 holes of real golf. I shot a 35, and considering it’s the first time i’ve played since the Myrtle Beach trip in January, I’m pretty happy with that. I even finished off with a birdie on the last hole.

Goals for March 8th-14th 2010

  • Starting Weight = 228.4. End Weight = 225.4
  • 50 push-ups each morning and night. 100 sit ups at night.
  • 2.5 mile (minimum) run on 4 days this week
  • Finish two computers for media centers (Boxee)
  • Sell or recycle the 3 extra laptops
  • Remind Melody and get her to apply for the new balance transfer card
  • Finish unboxing books & office stuff for the new shelves

This week was not good for the weight loss…again. I finished up at 230.8, which was 2.4 pounds more than last week. I know why….not enough running. Simple as that. This week got away from me, with all the cleaning, organizing, and selling stuff……so it’s my own fault. Hopefully next week will be better. I’m going to rededicate myself to these goals, and hopefully i can get back on the right track. I am very happy with the amount of technology equipment i have offloaded and sold though. I am making a dent in the pile of stuff, and it’s only going to continue this week. I have a spreadsheet listing all the spare equipment that i need to sell, and it’s getting posted to Craigslist this week. This past week I sold about $400 worth of hard drives and equipment, so i’m hoping i get that kind of luck with the rest of the equipment.

Goals for March 15th-21st 2010

  • Starting Weight = 230.8. End Weight = 227
  • 50 push-ups each morning and night. 100 sit ups at night.
  • 2.5 mile (minimum) run on 4 days this week
  • Finish two computers for media centers (Boxee)
  • Take pictures of spare technology equipment for sale, then post to CraigsList
  • Inventory the full machines for sale, and take pictures, and then post to CraigsList
  • Melody is taking a few days off work, and should be able to apply for the new balance transfer cards during the day.

Goals for March 2010

  • Lose 7-8 pounds and keep it off. End weight = 222 pounds (i’m keeping the dream alive)
  • 50 push-ups each morning & night. 100 sit ups at night
  • 2.5 mile (minimum) run on 4 days every week (10 miles per week minimum)
  • Have all spare computers inventoried and ready for sale (and sell some if possible)
  • Have all, or as much as possible debt consolidated onto a balance transferred card, so we’re paying lower interest/lower monthly payments starting in April.

So….this week is going to be tough, but i’m hoping that the time-change for daylight savings will help me get a good run in the afternoons. More daylight generally means more motivation for me. Plus, it means it’s easier for Melody and I to walk later in the evening without it being pitch-black by 6:30pm.
