Today was a regular “return from White Lake” day…….we got up…..had breakfast made by Melody’s mom, and then drove back to Raleigh.

When I got back home, I had an answer from one of Melody’s friends who I’m doing a website for. It’s a super tight timeline..she needs it done by the 1st, but i’ll do these sorts of jobs for friends at hugely reduced rates. This one involves a new domain, migrate all web content from the old site to the new one, set up a redirect, and then set up new email addresses for everyone (they have them at the old domain too). Luckily for me, I can take advantage of Google Apps, and use them to provide email for the new domain. About 13 minutes after starting, I had the new domain registered at BlueHost.com, and the domain activated in Google Apps. That’s the easy part….getting those two set up. Then came the hard part….the actual web work. Drupal is going to be my friend there….and I’m getting pretty efficient at building up quick websites in it…i just need to develop some re-usable themes instead of reinventing the wheel each time a new job comes around.

So…pretty basic day. But to jazz it up a little…here’s  getting his Rave on.

Hey Nick. Dad mentioned your website at the dinner table so I felt compelled to check it out. It’s pretty cool I must admit. Nice raving Conan btw.
